FAQ's:
**Accommodations: We have really nice highly rated hotels booked in two of the most prime locations in Japan. Each couple will have their own room and single travelers will have their own bed in a shared room.
**Getting Around Japan: Tripio will provide transportation to/from the airport/hotel as well as to/from each group excursion. Getting around in free time is on your own, taxis, uber, metro are convenient options prevalent in Japan.
**Getting There: E Z P Z ;) Fly in and out of Tokyo Haneda (HND). We suggest checking Booking.com, Expedia, Kayak, Google Flights, and Skyscanner for best rates.
**How firm is the Itinerary? There are countless things to do in Japan and we've made sure your group will experience several of the very best! Some of the top excursions are booked in advance and are firm, but this is your trip! If there's something you don't want to participate in or something else you'd rather do, we'll help you do that! We'll stick to the planned itinerary for all those who want to join the main group.
**Recovering from Jetlag? Recovering from jet lag / adjusting to new time zone quickly can greatly enhance your travel experience so here are some tips on how to do so within 24 hrs or less!
• Get on the sleep schedule of your destination the moment you start traveling. Try your best to sleep on the plane. Magnesium, Melatonin & Benadryl work really well for me. I take all 3 together on the rare occasion I need to knock myself out and sleep earlier than my body may want to or when on an uncomfortable plane. All 3 readily available OTC everywhere. I would suggest using them on your flight to Japan.
• Wear comfortable clothes, take your shoes off, and recline your seat (basic, I know, but some people need that reminder that it’s ok. The seats recline for a reason. Use them.)
• A good neck pillow & if you need it, also ear plugs & eye mask (I use a neck pillow for sure then just my AirPods on noise cancel with white noise playing)
• Force yourself to stay awake until at least 9pm that first night. A 1-hr nap is fine, even good to re-energize for that first day , but beyond that, stay awake and go to bed at a normal local time (9pm or later). If needed, take the sleep aids one more time to ensure you sleep good that first night.
If you do those things, jet lag will be greatly minimized.
Hope that helps. See you soon!
